Weather In Myrtle Beach In February

February weather in Myrtle Beach is typically variable. The average daily high is 59°F (15°C), but highs in the 70s and even up to 80°F (27°C) are not uncommon. Cold weather, however, is also very likely throughout the month.

February is very much the off season in Myrtle Beach. Although many visitors do come to the area for a respite from the cold and snow of the North and Midwest, Myrtle Beach is not a reliable destination for those seeking winter warmth, with wild swings in temperature possible from one day to the next.

With that said, the warmer, sunny days can be very pleasant, with walks on the beach, a round of golf, or a walk at other local nature sites, quite possible. Be aware, however, that cold winds off the ocean can make it feel cooler than the advertized temperature!

Pack for a wide range of weather conditions, with several layers and a warm jacket. Although February is one of Myrtle Beach’s drier months, an umbrella is advisable too.
