Renting a kayak is a fun, flexibile way to explore the scenery and wildlife of the lowcountry landscape. There are a variety of beautiful kayaking spots within easy reach of Myrtle Beach, including the marshes and creeks of Murrells Inlet, the undeveloped islands near North Myrtle Beach, or the wildlife and river views of Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge.
Guided kayak tours are a safer option than a rental if you don’t have much kayaking experience or you are not familiar with the local area, particularly if you are hoping to paddle in more out-of-the-way areas. Currents, tides, weather and larger boats can all be hazardous to inexperienced kayakers.
